San Juan Capistrano’s Greek Festival
San Juan Capistrano’s Greek Festival is back!!! Experience the sights, sounds and tastes of Greece at San Juan Capistrano’s Annual Greek Festival Saturday, September 25 thru Sunday, September 26, 2021.
There will be lots of traditional Greek dishes to choose from including flavorful lamb chops, Souvlakia, Gyro’s and a Greek Village Salad. Satisfy your sweet tooth with Greek pastries. And compliment the pastries with Greek coffee or refreshing iced coffee frappe. Enjoy Greek wine tasting and beers in the sports bar taverna, while listening to live Greek music. There will also be a cooking demonstration on Saturday @ 12:30PM with “The Greek Griller” – Bob Stavrou.” Live Greek music will be performed all weekend.
Watch “Eftihia” and “Megalio” a traveling Greek folk dance troupe perform in traditional costumes. And you too can learn Greek folk dances Sat. @ 5:30PM and Sunday @ 2:30 and 6:00PM!
There will be a “Greek bazaar” and plenty of activities for your kids.
San Juan Capistrano’s Greek Festival will wind down Sunday evening with the winners of the raffle prizes being announced. You can enter the raffle any time during the festival prior to the winner’s announcement. And it is said there are fabulous prizes to be won!
The weekend-long event is hosted by Saint Basil Greek Orthodox church. And church tours are scheduled at various hours throughout the weekend. Operating hours are Sat. from 11AM-11PM and Sunday from 11AM-10PM. Entrance and parking is $3. Festival coordinators have asked that you not bring your pets, unless of course, they are service animals. This is a fun-filled weekend for the entire family. So bring the family, bring your friends and have a great weekend!
